2、e start point of construction supply chain, construction material suppliers are directly related to project cost, project quality, project schedule and so on. Through forming stragetic alliance with influential and compe

3、titive construction material suppliers, the core enterprise of construction supply chain can enhance its own competitiveness, and achieve a “win-win” situation. The method of how to select construction material suppliers

4、 is a problem which needs to be solved. So, building up a reasonable set of evaluation index system and selecting an appropriate evaluation method for construction material supplier selection is a very deserving research

5、 topic. First, this paper points out the background and meanings of the research, and it summarizes researches of construction material supplier selection both at home and abroad. Then, this paper elaborates the concepts

6、 of construction supply chain and construction supply chain management, and emphasizes the importance of supplier selection, it also introduces main steps of supplier selection based on construction supply chain manageme

7、nt. Then, after analyzing existing evaluation index system, this paper brings up a reasonable set of evaluation index system based on principles of building up evaluation index system and characteristics of construction

8、supply chain. After that, it summarizes the common mehods for supplier selection and introduces a fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (AHP)-based TOPSIS method for construction material supplier selection. At last, this p

9、aper uses an expamle to exmine the validity and feasibility of the proposed method. Through the case study, it indicates that this paper not only have theoretical meaning, but also practical value. Keywords: Construction
